This Privacy Policy explains how PawanVeg Service Pvt. Ltd. ("PawanVeg", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your information when you use the PawanVeg mobile application and website (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or placing an order on PawanVeg, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information you give us
- Name — to identify your account and orders
- Mobile number — for OTP login, order updates and delivery calls
- Email address — for account and order communication (if provided)
- Delivery address — house/flat number, street, landmark, city, PIN code
- Profile photo — optional, only if you choose to upload one
b) Information collected automatically
- Approximate and precise location — to show nearby restaurants, calculate delivery distance and help the delivery partner reach you. Location is collected only while the app is in use, and only after you grant permission.
- Order history — items ordered, amount, date, restaurant, delivery status
- Device information — device model, operating system version, app version, and a device token used to send you notifications
- App activity and crash logs — to find and fix technical problems
c) Payment information
Online payments are processed by our third-party payment gateway Razorpay. Your card number, UPI PIN, net-banking credentials and CVV are entered directly on the payment gateway's secure screen. We never see, collect or store your complete card or banking details. We only receive a payment status (success/failure) and a transaction reference number.
2. Why We Use Your Information

3. Who We Share Information With
We share only the minimum information needed, and only with:
- Restaurants / vendors — your first name, order items and delivery area, so they can prepare your order
- Delivery partners — your name, delivery address, and a contact number so they can hand over your order. This access ends after the delivery is completed.
- Payment gateway — to process your payment securely
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — our app runs on Firebase, which stores our database, files and login system, and sends push notifications on our behalf
- Google Maps — to display maps, search addresses and show delivery tracking
- Government or law enforcement — only when we are legally required to do so
4. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Account data — kept while your account is active. Deleted when you delete your account.
- Order and invoice records — retained for up to 8 years even after account deletion, because Indian tax and accounting law requires businesses to keep financial records. These records are kept in a form that is not used to contact or profile you.
- Crash and technical logs — up to 90 days.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correct — you can view and edit your name, phone, email and addresses inside the app under Profile.
- Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account and personal data at any time. See our Account Deletion page for the full process.
- Withdraw permissions — you can turn off location, notification or camera permission any time from your phone's Settings. Some features (like address detection) will stop working.
- Stop marketing messages — you can opt out of promotional notifications from the app settings or by contacting us. Order-related messages will still be sent, as they are necessary for the service.
6. Data Security
All data travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Our database is hosted on Google Firebase with access limited to authorised staff only. Login is protected by OTP verification. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
PawanVeg is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has given us their data, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show the latest version. If the changes are significant, we will notify you inside the app or by email.
